The first full origin protection system of Hungary was developed out here. The Villány-Siklós Wine Route is the first stronghold of Hungarian wine tourism. The strongest attraction of the region is wine.
In the Villány Wine Region development was
built on strong foundations: a respect for traditions. The treasures of
the region include the protected streets of cellars in Palkonya, Villánykövesd,
Villány, Nagyharsány and Kisharsány, the cellars and press houses scattered
around in the vineyards of Siklós; hundreds of years ago they were important
for their technology, now they are important destinations of the tourist
industry.
Traditions include the presence of Kadarka,
Portugieser, or Schiller wines. The Villány Wine Region, however, is also able
to continuously move onward, besides respecting traditions. It offers an
almost perfect and full range of wines. In several modern cellars the most
up-to-date technologies are applied.
The wine producers of Villány are frequently
among the most successful participants in wine contests and exhibitions. So
far, wine producers or wine cellars of Villány have been awarded the
prestigious title “Wine Producer of the Year” or “Wine Cellar of the Year” six
times.
A distinctive feature of the Villány Wine
Region is the large number of cellars run by experts with technological
knowhow. A second generation has grown up alongside the generation founded the
vineyards and cellars. The future of the Villány Wine Region is ion their
hands!

Villány-Siklós ist die erste ungarische Weinstraße und die Villányer Weine werden -als erste in Ungarn - als „Weine geschützter Herkunft“ angeboten. Das Qualitätssystem dazu, das hier entwickelt wurde, heißt: Districtus Hungaricus Controllatus (DHC Villány).
Der Respekt vor Traditionen gab eine sichere Basis für Entwicklung. Zu den größten Schätzen dieser Landschaft gehören die unter Denkmalschutz stehenden Kellergassen von Palkonya, Villánykövesd, Villány, Nagyharsány und Kisharsány, sowie die verstreuten Keller und Presshäuser in den Anbaugebieten um Siklós herum, die seit mehreren Jahrhunderten große Bedeutung besaßen und heute die wichtigsten Orte der Gastfreundlichkeit sind.Der Kadarka, der Portugieser oder der Schillerwein, eine dunklere Variante des Rosé, sind ebenfalls Merkmale der Tradition. Das Villányer Weinbaugebiet ist aber bereit, sich auf der Basis seiner Traditionen immer weiter fort zu entwickeln. Was die Weine betrifft, ist die Palette nahezu perfekt, zumindest vollständig: Neben den berühmten körperreichen Rotweinen findet der Weinliebhaber hier auch Rosé- und Schillerweine, sowie auch hervorragende Weißweine. In zahlreichen Weingütern verwendet man die modernste Technologie.
Die örtlichen Winzer gewinnen auf regionalen, nationalen und auch internationalen Weinwettbewerben regelmäßig Preise. Bis jetzt wurden außerdem sechs Villányer Weinerzeuger bzw. Weingüter mit den ungarischen Preisen „Winzer des Jahres“ und „Weingut des Jahres“ ausgezeichnet.
Ein herausragendes Merkmal Villánys ist, dass in den zahlreichen namhaften und berühmten Kellereien inzwischen die zweite Generation erfolgreich in die Fußstapfen ihrer Eltern tritt. Diese Jugendlichen halten die Zukunft des Villányer Weinbaugebietes in der Hand!

Magyarország első teljes értékű eredetvédelmi rendszere itt épült ki. A borturizmus első hazai bástyája a Villány- Siklósi Borút. A térség legerőteljesebb vonzereje a bor.
Villányi borvidéken biztos alapokat adott a
fejlődéshez a hagyomány tisztelete. A táj értékéhez tartoznak a palkonyai,
villánykövesdi, villányi, nagyharsányi, kisharsányi műemlék pincesorok, a
siklósi körzet szórt dűlő pincéi, présházai, melyek több száz éve nagy
technológiai jelentőséggel bírtak, ma a vendégvárás legfontosabb helyszínei. A
hagyományhoz tartozik a Kadarka, a Portugieser, vagy a siller bor jelenléte is.
A Villányi borvidék azonban arra is képes, hogy a hagyomány tisztelete mellett
folyamatosan megújuljon. Borok tekintetében szinte tökéletes és teljes skálát
kínál. Számos modern pincészetben a legújabb technológiával dolgoznak.
A helyi bortermelő gazdák borversenyek,
kiállítások rendszeresen díjazott szereplői. Eddig hat alkalommal tüntettek ki
villányi borászt, illetve pincészetet az „Év Bortermelője” és az „Év
Pincészete” címmel.
A Villányi borvidéknek tagadhatatlan
tulajdonsága, hogy elégséges számban vannak jelen, jelentős szellemi erőt
képviselő pincészetek és azok szakemberei. A birtokalapító generáció mellett a
második generáció is jelentős erőt képvisel. Az Ő kezükben van a Villányi
borvidék jövője!
